Our real challenge is not the challenge itself..but to be at rest even in the midst of our challenges, is the real challenge. Diligently, we have to remain at peace in the seat of our consciousness, which is our heart. Most importantly, this seat has been relocated through Christ, to be at the right hand of Abba, seated high above every of our challenges. Let your heart remain at rest at the Father’s right hand today.
Sometimes we gotta learn to tell ourselves that everything is going to be all right, and believe by Jesus’s faith that it will be all right. That’s what faith is for..to believe in a positive contrast. You can listen to a hundred sermons and yet hold onto a pessimistic mindset towards life.
The Word of God takes root when our hearts are convinced by what God is saying about our situations today. That’s how we begin to experience the much needed peace in perspective of our life’s situations.
Remember, the strongholds are in our minds. The real enemy we face is not on the exterior, but in our perspectives.
Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God;
Philippians 4:6
You would probably have read this verse before, but would you like to know how to apply it in your everyday life? Let me give you an illustration to help you.
Let’s say that you are one of those in your company eligible for a promotion and you will know tomorrow whether you get it. You want the promotion badly because it means more income for your family. So you lie in bed at night tossing and turning. You pray, “Father, please take away all my worries about this promotion. Give me faith.” One hour later, you are more anxious than ever. It seems like God is not answering your prayer!
How come? Because you are not doing it God’s way.
Pray like this instead: “Father, I cast all my worries about the promotion into Your loving hands because You care for me and love me.” The Bible tells us to cast all our cares upon the Lord for He cares for us. (1 Peter 5:7) Then, say, “Father, I would like to have the promotion.” It is okay to ask Him for that. Now, here comes the most powerful part — thanksgiving. Finish off with thanksgiving. Thank God for His faithfulness.
Say something like, “Father, whether I get the promotion or not, I thank You that You will always provide for my family with more than enough. You who feed the birds of the air and clothe the lilies of the field will take care of us. So I am not going to worry about this promotion. You are the source of all my blessings.” (Matthew 6:30, Philippians 4:19)
When you pray like this, all of a sudden, you are no longer held hostage by the promotion. I call this the “thank You” therapy. The more you know God’s Word, the more you can thank Him. The more you thank Him, the more His peace reigns in your heart. And many a time, before you know it, it is morning! You don’t even remember falling asleep. The peace of God reigns like that.
My friend, whatever your concern is, bring it to your Father in prayer and thank your way to peace!
Thought For The Day
The more you know God’s Word, the more you can thank Him. The more you thank Him, the more His peace reigns in your heart.

May grace (God’s favor) and peace (which is perfect well-being, all necessary good, all spiritual prosperity, and freedom from fears and agitating passions and moral conflicts) be multiplied to you in [the full, personal, precise, and correct] knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord.
For His divine power has bestowed upon us all things that [are requisite and suited] to life and godliness, through the [full, personal] knowledge of Him Who called us by and to His own glory and excellence (virtue)
— 2 Peter 1:2-3 (AMP)
Differentiating the voice of peace (God) from the voice of confusion (Devil):
When God speaks to us, it wouldn’t be about what we have done or should have done, but it is primarily about what He has done, and because it is all about Him and none of us, He protects our heart from condemnation and accusation. That is our Good Shepherd who puts us at rest.
Peace is not the absence of problems, but the state of union with God
When what is in your mind is radically different from what is on God’s mind; that is the definition of depression, psychological disintegration, unhappiness and loss of assurance.
But when what is in your mind is the same with what is on God’s mind; there is peace, joy, confidence, sanity, freedom, victory over the condemnation and lies of the devil.
So how do we get our minds renewed? It’s simple, keep believing in the Gospel!
That’s my parting gift to you. Peace. I don’t leave you the way you’re used to being left—feeling abandoned, bereft. So don’t be upset. Don’t be distraught. — John 14:27 MSG
We usually give someone a goodbye gift because we want the receiver to be a reminder of the giver because the giver has not forgotten the receiver. Jesus has not forgotten you. He may not be physically tangible to hold and touch, but He always has us in His mind and heart. He remembers all your needs and prayers, and He will always remember to fulfill His promises. Peace, He deposits in our hearts. The lingering peace is His abiding presence. Everytime we experience peace and joy, we are experiencing His presence in us. God does not want our hearts to be distraught but to focus on His peace instead, that surpasses all irrationality. Whatever you don’t understand, you have His peace to reassure you..that everything will eventually work out for good.
A sound heart is life to the body…
Proverbs 14:30
What is a “sound heart” that is life to the body?
In today’s verse, the word “sound” is the Hebrew word marpe, which is from the Hebrew word, rapha, meaning “heal.” Going just a bit deeper, you’ll find that the root word of rapha is the Hebrew word for “relax.”
Put it all together and what you’ll see is that a relaxed heart gives healing or health to our bodies. That’s why The Living Bible translates the verse as, “A relaxed attitude lengthens a man’s life.”
My friend, God wants you to have a heart that is at peace, and a relaxed attitude about the issues of life, so that you can walk in health. It’s no wonder Jesus said, “…do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on…” (Matthew 6:25). In that sermon, you will hear the constant refrain, “Do not worry”—because you have a loving heavenly Father who provides for you.
Today, choose to stop worrying about your health, finances, family, career or whatever is troubling you. Do what needs to be done but entrust the matter to God and trust Him to guide you (Proverbs 3:6). Cast every care upon Him, knowing that He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7). Beloved, make a decision today not to let your heart be agitated or disturbed, and step into a greater measure of health and wholeness for yourself!
Blessings,
Joseph Prince
Above all these, clothe yourselves with love, which binds everything together perfectly; and let the shalom which comes from the Messiah be your heart’s decision-maker, for this is why you were called to be part of a single Body.
Col 3:14-15 (CJB)
It’s the Love of God that binds our relationship so flawlessly :) How amazing that is :) It’s not by the initiative of our labor but His labor of love through each other.
Romans 5:1
1Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,
We are not trying to get peace with God. We already have peace with God, having been justified by faith through our Lord Jesus Christ. This peace with God brings us the peace of God, which guards our hearts and minds. (Philippians 4:7) Then, the peace of God inside us will also translate into the peace of God outside us — in all our outward circumstances.
Firstly, we will find that what would normally cause us much care and anxiety will no longer be the case. Secondly, not only will everything turn out well, but we will also be blessed in more ways than one. This is what happens when Jesus, the Prince of Peace, is our peace.
