As a man thinketh in his heart, so is he — Provb 23:7
How you think about yourself, your life, has an influence in what you say about yourself and others. The words that escape from your lips, are drawn from your heart, which are based on what you think about yourself.
For out of the overflow of the heart a man speaks — Luke 6:45
What we think about ourselves is important because it will determine the kind of words we choose to speak for ourselves. The words we choose is equally important because it is a matter of life or death, encouragement or condemnation, a curse or a blessing.
A wholesome tongue is a tree of life, But perverseness in it breaks the spirit. — Proverbs 15:4
Death and life are in the power of the tongue, And those who love it will eat its fruit. — Proverbs 18:21
We may lament over our situation, but be as quick to speak God’s blessings and grace over your life too. Pray in tongues for yourself. Edify yourself. Comfort yourself with His life-giving words. Let your heart be restored at the sound of God’s Word. His Word is health and restoration for your flesh. Let your soul be refreshed with the sound of His voice again and your mind renewed from every negativity.
So start thinking better of yourself. See yourself as blessed and beloved, regardless of whatever your situations may be. That’s how God sees you too even in your troubles because He forknew His plans for you. If He had delivered you once from the jaws of death, He can deliver you from any situation. There’s no situation that can be as impossible as death and Jesus had already conquered that. You have passed the test of death, so there’s no lesser tribulations than death that you cannot overcome through Jesus’s life operating in you.
Think of your situation as saturated by God’s peace and favor; He is in perfect control over your life. Then let that peace tranquilize your heart. His favor as the bridge over stormy waters. There’s no mission impossible that God cannot fulfil.
Start thinking better of your circumstance, yourself and your entire destiny. It’s going to be awe-inspiring, it’s all been intrinsically well-thought of by God, signed and sealed with His own blood. Let it be, in Jesus’s name, amen :)
How precious also are Your thoughts to me, O God! How great is the sum of them! — Psalm 139:7
