For what if some did not believe? Will their unbelief make the faithfulness of God without effect?
Certainly not! Indeed, let God be true but every man a liar. As it is written:
That You may be justified in Your words,
And may overcome when You are judged.— Romans 3:3-4
This why God says believe that you have received because God will do it anyway :)
Your unbelief cannot stop God from blessing you, from saving you, from healing you. Your unbelief cannot stop the power of the Cross. Your unbelief cannot stop God from working all things together for good. Your unbelief cannot stop God from restoring all things back to where they belong in Christ. Your unbelief cannot disqualify you from His grace because only when you are weak He is strong and unbelief is a form of weakness. In fact, your disqualifications are your only qualification to be saved because it is Jesus who qualified you by cleansing you of all sins even before you can ask for forgiveness. Nothing can stop Jesus from loving you. He is true yesterday, today and forever. His love is consistently unconditional.
If Jesus can endure the cross for you, will He not endure your short-term worldly disbelief (time on earth is relatively short compared to afterlife eternity) which can never nullify God’s love? God does not kick you out of His bossom. God’s grace has been given to us and made available to us! But to have fallen away from His grace is a choice we all had had once made, to live by self-righteousness which is fueled by self-condemnation or condemnation of others. Refusing God’s grace is to be self-justified by magnifying your imperfections to match up to your own standards. Self-righteousness, self-redemption only amplifies your shortcomings instead of God’s glory. Because no one is righteous before God except Christ, His only begotten Son, who has made us righteous. What God is saying, His standards are higher than yours and even so, only God can fulfill His standards. Jesus did it. Jesus finished the job well. Only Jesus’s performance at the cross can effectually put away every sin, forever to the extent that God will remember them no more.
Even if you had rejected the grace of God, He is still passionately seeking after you today, passionately loving you today, till you allow yourself to be His. Because grace is God’s unmerited favor to you.
As much as condemnation can raise walls around your heart, no matter how hard your heart is now, God is not going to give up on you. The world may forsake you but God never will because He has died to give you life. Just for you. He is able and willing, He is just waiting, for you to receive all the free gifts from Him :) Quit fighting and God fight your battles for you by allowing yourself to be redeemed freely without an ounce of your performance but Christ alone.
Therefore by the deeds of the law no flesh will be justified in His sight, for by the law is the knowledge of sin. — Romans 3:20
But now the righteousness of God apart from the law is revealed, being witnessed by the Law and the Prophets, even the righteousness of God, through faith in Jesus Christ, to all and on allwho believe. For there is no difference; for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus — Romans 3:21-24
Concerning the gospel they are enemies for your sake, but concerning the election they are beloved for the sake of the fathers. For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable.
For as you were once disobedient to God, yet have now obtained mercy through their disobedience, even so these also have now been disobedient, that through the mercy shown you they also may obtain mercy. For God has committed them all to disobedience, that He might have mercy on all — Romans 11:28-31
