  1. Now the mind of the flesh [which is sense and reason without the Holy Spirit] is death [death that comprises all the miseries arising from sin, both here and hereafter]. But the mind of the [Holy] Spirit is life and [soul] peace [both now and forever]

  2. This is the Man of your life.

Having Him in your life, not only is He able to take care all of your needs and desires, He is also able to protect you, understand you and love you in unconditional perfection. Jesus knows and cares about what’s in your heart, and He loves you more than you could ever love yourself. He sees no flaw in you, just a beautiful pearl and precious dove in His sight. You don’t have to be perfect for Him, He perfects you.
This is the best love letter I have ever received, and I hope the words of our Savior, the Man who laid down His life for us, will comfort you as much as it does for me :)

1 Peter 5:7
Casting the whole of your care [all your anxieties, all your worries, all your concerns, once and for all] on Him, for He cares for you affectionately and cares about you watchfully

Song of Solomon 4:1
You are beautiful, my darling,
beautiful beyond words.
Your eyes are like doves
behind your veil.
Your hair falls in waves,
like a flock of goats winding down the slopes of Gilead.

v7 [He exclaimed] O my love, how beautiful you are! There is no flaw in you

  3. Talking to Holy Spirit in a childlike manner

I anticipated the dawning of the morning and cried [in childlike prayer]; I hoped in Your word. — Psalm 119:147 (AMP)

I laid in my bed for hours, and finally decided to let down the walls of my heart, pulled my bedsheets over my head and spoke to the Holy Spirit like the most perfect friend I know. We had a genuine pillow talk and He listened with all His heart.
In between sobs, I spoke like a child, vulnerable with my hurts and disappointments, the Holy Spirit listened intently. I couldn’t see Him but I believe He is there, and continued to probe me about how I felt about the incident. He was interested to know how I feel, and what I think, He just want me to let them out, to entrust Him with the secrets of my heart.
Holy Spirit, gently probed me, and I verbally shared with Him. He understood with no condemnation and comforted me. I felt waves of goosebumps, and His comforting presence.
My mind started to pound due to all the crying, and I just asked in my heart for Him to relieve the pain. Almost instantly, the pain went away.

We can share with this Helper,Comforter, Spirit of God, with our deepest desperations that we can tell to no one, as we trust Him with those secrets, at the same time, He heals our pain.

The Spirit of God is closest in the sense, most tangibly felt, by the contrite hearts, to the wounded and brokenhearted, because that’s when He is the most welcomed.

You too can welcome Him into the private space of your heart today, where no one was allowed to trespass, where it is heavily guarded with all your might, He long to be there and be your true friend. Just ask Him in, and you will receive. The Holy Spirit is like a river of water that flows, refreshes, regenerates, and drench you with God’s love.

The Holy Spirit is our best friend, in Spirit and in Truth. A real gentleman, a gentle dove, a priceless gift and a promise from Jesus before His departure to heaven, to be our companion in His place . Thank You Holy Spirit for tonight.

  4. The help of the Holy Spirit, to help fight against depression. Rob Rufus shares about how often he had to resist going down the spiral of depression, there were days he felt like ‘dying’ to be home with the Lord (absolutely like my experience!), thus, not to be fooled by his firey appearance, it has nothing to do with his personality, but the supply of the Holy Spirit; the help of the Helper. What an honest testimony from a pastor :)) Love it.

  5. But refuse foolish and ignorant speculations, knowing that they produce quarrels. The Lord’s bond-servant must not be quarrelsome, but be kind to all, able to teach, patient when wronged, with gentleness correcting those who are in opposition, if perhaps God may grant them repentance leading to the knowledge of the truth

    — 2 Tim 2:23-25 (NASB)

This might be something you would like to consider if you ever encounter any hate mails ;) Soak it with Grace & Love. Never understimate your Spirit of Love & Gentleness beloved :)

  6. The Word of God is a spiritual book written under the direction of the Holy Spirit. It was not written to our head but to the innermost part of our heart. This is why some people find the Bible so hard to understand. They are trying to comprehend it using only their mind. The Word of God has to inspire our heart before it can enlighten our mind. — Andrew Wommack

And only the Holy Spirit can help us to fully unravel the Word of God :)

  7. Seek First God’s Kingdom

31“Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ 32For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. 33But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

    Matthew 6:31–33

As a child of God, know that it is your Father’s pleasure to meet all your needs. Jesus Himself tells us, “For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things.” But God does not want you to seek after things. He wants you to seek first His kingdom. And when you do that, all the things that you need will be added to you!

So your first priority every day is to seek His kingdom. The word “first” in verse 33 is the Greek word proton, which means “first in order or importance, holding the highest place in all our affections”. My friend, God wants us to seek first His kingdom, and all things will fall gloriously in place.

We are not to seek after things the way Gentiles do. The word “seek” in “the Gentiles seek” (verse 32) is the Greek word epizeteo. It means “to seek with all their might with much sweat or with much stress”. However, the way God wants us to “seek” in “seek first the kingdom of God” is the Greek word zeteo, which means “to hunger, to desire to worship”. It is simply a hungering, a desiring for the kingdom of God, without any labor or toil.

But what is the kingdom of God? Romans 14:17 tells us that it is righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. And the kingdom of God dwells within you because the Holy Spirit indwells you. So the kingdom of God is His righteousness, peace and joy in you.

Beloved, if you want to have peace and joy in the Holy Spirit flowing inside you, then seek every day to be conscious of your righteousness in Christ, not your own righteousness, but His righteousness given to you as a gift. Pursue Jesus first. Spend time with Him and listen to His Word. And when you do these things, you are seeking His kingdom and His righteousness, and all the things that you need will be added to you!

    Thought For The Day
When you pursue Jesus and His righteousness given to you as a gift, everything you need will be added to you.

  8. Remember how you accepted Christ as your Savior because your heart was moved by His Love ? Your revelation of your destiny doesn’t just stop there because that is where it all begins - you are found and established in God’s Love, unconditionally accepted in the Beloved. As you journey on earth, Holy Spirit would so love to expound on that precious revelation of God’s unending love towards you because He is all that He is.

  10. How My Vision Meant More To Me Than The Voice Of The Holy Spirit

Visionary church leaders are not bad guys, they are just obsessed with their vision. Unless you’ve been in the position of leading and rallying a large group of people around a grand vision, it’s hard to understand the pressure involved in ensuring it is always moving forward. A vision requires momentum. Always momentum. And this momentum comes not by rest, but by work – and lots of it.

My grand vision had so much machinery attached to it, and so much hype, that if it was not constantly moving forward, then it was moving backwards. This, I can assure you, was a terrifying possibility for me, for if my vision went backwards, the hype would lose its shine, the people would see it wasn’t working, and then what? They might look for a better vision. They might look for a better leader. They might—

No, there was no room for ‘they might’ … it needed to remain ‘I know’. If I didn’t remain in control, the whole thing was in danger of falling in on itself. So I was always determined to present myself as the leader who knew. Yes, I knew everything. I knew what God wanted, I knew what God didn’t want, and I knew my vision was God’s will. Anything that went against my vision was not of God. Even, as I realize upon reflection, if it was God himself who was against it.

Why was this bad? Because often God is not interested in momentum. Often he wants the opposite. He wants his children to stop, to rest, to relax in his presence. He wants his children to know they don’t have to slave for him, working tirelessly. The voice of God, I now realize, was often going against my vision, calling my church members to slow down, to stop with all the tireless ministry, to listen to his calm voice calling them into rest.

Here is the biggest problem with trying to lead a church community with a grand vision: If any voice, even the voice of the Spirit, endangers the forward momentum of that vision, those voices are treated like an enemy. I remember one of my main reoccurring sermons was called, in one variation or another: “Don’t give up!” It when something like this:

“ … the voice of the enemy, the voice of the world, the voice of your flesh, will be trying to get you to give up, to stop with your ministry, to stop attending so many church services, to stop giving to the work we are doing here … but when you hear that voice, you say ‘get behind me! I will continue, for I have faith, and will continue to work for the glory of God’…”

Sounds pretty powerful, right. I was a great speaker, so you can imagine that it even got the crowd quite worked up … so what is the problem? The problem is, without realizing, I most likely had preached that message against the leading of the Holy Spirit.

How many times was God comforting someone in my church, telling them to let go of all their ministry service and come back to a quiet place with him to be refreshed with his Father’s love … only for me to say that God would never says that. Only to condemn them for daring to believe God would say anything opposed to the momentum of my vision. Sad. So sad. What God said to Pharaoh in Egypt, rang true for me too:

    “Let my people go!”

But for the longest time, like Pharaoh, I refused. Like Pharaoh, there was just too much to do, too much to build, too much to accomplish. And to do all that, I needed workers.

So am I against vision for the church community? No, I’m not. But if we want to come around a vision, I believe it has to be the vision of Christ’s finished work, it has to be a vision of rest in him. I think if we want a vision, it needs to be a decentralized vision, not a single man’s vision, that only the Holy Spirit is in control of leading. I think it can work if the vision revolves around the desire to love, for love is something Scripture says we can build each other up in. And that to me is the only thing really worth building.

  11. Restlessness may appear like you are making progress but it actually holds you in bondage, it slows you down and eventually paralyzes you..

Restfullness may make you appear to be slow yet steady, unwavering and unshaken because it’s actually the steadfastness of the Spirit at work.

  14. Heart Transformation precedes Behavior Modification :)

The Glory of the Lord transforms us from the inside-out..His blessings flow from the inside-out..His Spirit moves from the inside-out..so that our faith will not be in the outcome of our imperfect performance but His unlimited performance which makes life so much more relaxed and enjoyable :)

  15. God already knows what we are going to pray for..so why do we still pray?

There is power in our prayers not because of the one who says it but the One who perfects it and answers it.

There is power in our prayers because you are inhaling God and exhaling your worries (Max Lucado)

There is power in our prayers because the spirit of thanksgiving increases our awareness of God’s presence and His ready supply.

Your soul followed by all areas of your life prospers whenever you pray, the garden of your soul is being watered by His Spirit and there is new found strength when you tap into His presence and fullness of joy.

Prayer is the hand of faith that stretches out to God’s embrace and the hand that receives into your treasure trove in heaven.

Prayer is the hand of faith that sows and harvests the promises of His Word.

Prayer is not a religious obligatory activity but it’s for the hungry and thirsty, it’s compelled by an innate desire to cast yourself into the arms of God again.

We don’t pray to get blessed but we pray to agree and acknowledge God’s heart for us that we are already blessed.
