  1. Don’t mistaken a person’s zealousness for ministry as his or her strength and stability in an intimate relationship. (Joseph Prince, paraphrased)

Our strength, security and stability of our character can only be found in our rootedness of God’s love. How a shepherd feeds and tends the flock is different from how a husband can love his wife and children.

A good leader is not necessarily a good lover.

A compassionate leader is not necessarily a gracious companion.

An admirable leader is not necessarily your best friend and helpmate.

A loving shepherd does not necessarily make a loving husband but a loving husband is able to serve as a loving shepherd.

Relationship preceds Ministry. A healthy, wholesome and godly lover is established by his identity and character.

A man’s being is not defined by his doing or achivements but his identity is defined by God’s love for him because God is love and so are you :)
