  1. Hi everyone! I’ve got another praise report to share :)
Yesterday after service, I had lunch with my mum, brother and grandma at an awesome dim sum restaurant and the most amazing miracle yet happened at the table.
That same morning, our Kids pastor was sharing with us a testimonial of how a lady’s relationship with her dad was restored, her dad like my dad are men of few words :p, after she shared with him Pastor Prince’s grace messages and he was hooked on his sermons ever since. Soon after, the grace of God melted away every hardness and the father-daughter relationship was restored! The father approached her sharing about the amazing things he had learnt in the bible. When I heard this testimonial, I wondered if this is ever possible for the men in my family.
I had strained relationships with my brother and dad due to our past quarrels and we barely communicate although all of us live under one roof. We used to fight alot, bang doors and tables :P My brother had a horrid temper like dad and we would just lead a separate life, not knowing much about each other. By the grace of God, they were both saved and attending church regularly. However, our hearts were still not open to each other. My brother left the previous church we used to attend together to attend another church (Life United Church) started by a leader (Brother Darren) from that church.
After a few months of attendance, I believe my brother’s heart is gradually being transformed by the fresh anointing of that church because the first thing my brother asked me upon arrival was, ‘what course are you studying for your degree?’
He has never ever asked me such personal questions before lol. If that is even considered personal; it is a tremendous transformation from who he was because we didn’t even talk at all. I was utterly surprised but I replied his question without giving away a hint of excitement lol :P. We went on discussing why I didn’t choose a local university degree, what am I doing to do after graduating, where will I want to work, what does he intend to study after serving the army etc. And he ANSWERED every of my questions for the very first time. He used to ignore me or chase me away when I approached him at home. But yesterday was such a miracle, a fruit of God’s grace.
I asked my brother which church he’s attending now and that’s how I knew he’s in Life United. He has never been this open before about the spiritual stuff and I cannot imagine this day would come when we are able to fellowship over our spiritual experiences/opinions. I asked him what’s the difference between the 2 churches he attended and what does he like about the present church. He says it’s because the messages shared are more thought-provoking (spiritually nourishing) and Darren touches on ‘controversial’ messages like ‘Grace’.
I was like WOW Grace indeed! Though I just would like to highlight there’s nothing controversial or taboo about Grace because Grace is who Jesus is :) However I’m so glad God has affirmed the effective power of His grace in my brother’s life that he’s changed and our relationship is restored! While talking, he even served me a piece of chicken ^_^ I was so touched, really. We have never been this intimate and open before. This is what I had desired for the last 20 years, to have a real relationship with my own brother. I admired him much for his intellects, his talents in guitar, his sportiness in almost every sport, his built and height.
At the end of our lunch, we took this picture that you see here (I was tip-toeing because he stands at 185cm!) :) Our first picture together. After so many years, this is the revelation & blessings of God’s grace and love towards our family.
I believe the same manifestation of the grace-truth will be upon our dad, that he’ll come to taste & see His goodness :)
Thank You Jesus for Your grace, Your unfailing love, the redemptive power of Your blood and body. Thank You Lord that at Your cross, we are united. Through Your love, we are made whole as one.
Halleluyah!
